• Four Winds Mah Jong Knowledge Base. Provides comprehensive information on the history, symbolism and rules of Mah Jong.
• Independent Internet Mahjong Newspaper. A web site hosted by Mr. Martin Rep provides a vast amount of information on the game of Mah Jong: news and events, descriptions of rules, reviews of the software games, interviews, articles, links, etc. The site is in Dutch and in English.
• Japanese Mah Jong Museum. A Japanese site providing information on the game of Mah Jong. Much to see even if you cannot the language: photos of old tile sets, virtual tours in the museum, etc.
• Mah Jong Museum. An American web site hosted by Mr. Jim May. Provides photos of old tile sets and accessories, news on Mah Jong tournaments and events, a bibliography, rule descriptions (classical and Taiwanese) and a links to other Mah Jong sites around the world.
• Tom Sloper's FAQs. Excellent source of information providing answers to most frequently asked questions on the game of Mah Jong.

Mah Jong Online

• NetMahjong. Play online with classical Chinese or Taiwanese rules.
• TUM MahJong. Play online with classical Chinese rules (as described by Millington). Also contains a forum and a chat board.
• Yahoo!Games Mah Jong. Play online with Western or Chinese classical rules.

Mah Jong Newsgroups

• rec.games.mahjong –  an English-language newsgroup.
• tw.bbs.rec.mj – a Chinese-language newsgroup.

• Adrie van Geffen's Mah Jong Page. A Dutch site concentrating on classical rules.
• Alan's Mah Jong Page. Besides presenting Alan's Zung Jung Mah Jong, features several interesting articles concentrating on intellectual aspects of the game of Mah Jong. Also gives descriptions of classical and modern Japanese rules.
• De Rode Draak Mahjong Website.  A Dutch site describing the rules of De Rode Draak Mahjong club. 
• French Mah Jong. A site by Alexis Beuve and Bertrand Le Roy describing the French rules as they are implemented in Four Winds.
• German Mah Jong. A site by Ralf Sontag describing the German rules of Mah Jong.
• Jonathan's Mah Jong Page. Describes the Japanese Classical rules.
• Mahjong Brasil. The first site in Portuguese language, maintained by a Brazilian plastic surgeon, does a very thorough approach of the game. You can find there historical aspects, rules of the classical Chinese game and its major variants, including the Chinese Official. Discusses also symbolic aspects of the game and use of Mah Jong in divination. Also includes a glossary of the Chinese terms used in the game and links to other sites.
• Mahjong Walker. An excellent Japanese-language site on Modern Japanese style.
• Taiwanese 16-Tile Mah Jong. Describes the rules for Taiwanese 16-Tile Mah Jong.
• Tze-chung Li's site representing the rules that are a sort of a mixture of the classical rules and Chinese Old Style (Hong Kong Mah Jong). Gives also descriptions and scoring values of the most frequently used New Style patterns. In addition, introduces the rules of the Taiwanese 16-tile Mah Jong.
